Sniping on Vorkuta – Hidden Sightlines and Angles
For the snipers out there—Vorkuta is an underrated gem. While at first glance it might look like a close-to-mid range map, there are some excellent long sightlines if you know where to look. I’vcheap bo6 bot lobbye spent a few hours testing out angles in custom games and I’ve found several prime sniper spots that are effective without being too campy.
First up is the third floor of the Warehouse. From there, you can lock down the Coalyard and peek toward the Hub. There’s enough cover to stay hidden if you’re smart about positioning. Just be careful because the windows are exposed to grenades and the occasional flanker coming up the stairs.
Next, there’s a sneaky angle from the Excavator structure—you can get a partial view down into the Wreckage zone. If enemies are rotating out of spawn or pushing mid, you can pick them off. It’s risky to stay too long, but it’s amazing for catching people off guard.
Another pro tip—don’t sleep on the snowbank edge near the Coalyard. You can mount up and watch across to the second-story window of the Hub. It’s a strong spot early in the round or in objective modes where you know players will funnel through that area.
Of course, it’s not all sunshine and headshots. The storm mechanic affects long-range vision, especially when the weather starts to change mid-match. Visibility drops fast, and scoped weapons lose their advantage. That’s when you switch to a secondary or reposition entirely.
I’m running with the Warden loadout—Marksman Rifle (custom optics), Cold-Blooded, and Ghost for stealth. Claymores at stairwells help prevent being flanked when I’m holding a tower position.
Sniping isn’t easy on this map, but it’s far from impossible. Anyone else finding new angles I haven’t mentioned? Always down to trade sniper spots.
