The Five Juanas [UPDATED]
Netflix's "The Five Juanas" is the streaming giant's attempt at taking on the telenovela market. Also known as "La Venganza de las Juanas" (per IMDb), the 18-episode Spanish-language soap opera revolves around the titular five Juanas, all of whom discover they bear the same fish-shaped birthmark after meeting on a beach in Cancun. The show is adapted from the Colombian novel "Las Juanas," written by Bernardo Romero Pereiro.
The Five Juanas
A number of fans on Twitter have called out "The Five Juanas" for its explicit and frequent use of rape scenes. "I'm not saying The Five Juanas/La Venganza de las Juanas is bad, but why are there like zero tweets abt how there are like five separate [rape] scenes in the first four episodes. Like, Jesus," said Twitter user @Livjayce7. Another Twitter user, @socksbiteshumans, agreed and said, "And so detailed. Jesus, there simply was no need to [show] them in such detail." User @harpriyagill went a step further, accusing the show of "Normalising [sic] rape scenes."
The premise essentially revolves around the lives of five women named Juana who discover that they share the same birthmark all in the shape of a fish, hinting towards the fact that they are related. This sets the story rolling as the five Juanas begin a journey to discover the mysteries that have been kept buried long enough under the web of tragic lies by filthy politicians.
The first episode introduces us to our five, very different heroines. We have always-in-trouble and feisty stripper Juana Manuela (Manny), scared and confused singer Juana Matilde (Matilde), the girl-next-door mind clairvoyant Juana Bautista (Bautista), the sweet but wilful nun-in-training Juana Caridad (Caridad) and the headstrong investigative journalist Juana Valentina (Valentina/Val) who cross paths by the end of the first episode.
The five girls all named Juana start to receive gifts and money from Calixto, for much of Doña's dismay, who develops a deep feeling of hate toward the five girls. Juana Valentina and Ruben are obviously attracted to each other, despite the fact they're siblings. Ruben's cousin Manuel Efe (Miguel Varoni) also has a crush on Juana Valentina and Ruben is always mad at him for being interested on his sister but also for his comic-derogatory behavior for the country because he is just coming to Colombia after years in Europe.
Based on Bernardo Romero Pereiro's 1997 original, the Netflix series tells the story of Juana Matilde (Juanita Arias), Juana Bautista (Sofia Engberg), Juana Caridad (Oka Giner), Juana Valentina (Renata Notni), and Juana Manuela (Zuria Vega), five women who discover they all have identical birthmarks on their backsides after they get evacuated during an earthquake.
Bien, bien ya le han borrado al mongolito de @elohim el perfil de las juanas que abrió. el muy retrasado lo puso como una pelicula cuando es una serie y encima lo abrió cuando aun no se estrenaba. que asco da el puto spammer.
Like any good remake, the newer version has to kick up the stakes a little bit and for this Netflix series out of Mexico, they certainly dialed everything up to 11 in comparison to the 1998 original Colombian telenovela this 2021 streaming series is based on entitled Las Juanas. In The Five Juanas aka La Venganza de las Juanas, we are dropped into a mystery of five women, from five completely different walks of life, that all share something in common. For Juana Manuela (Zuria Vega), her life revolves around her sexual persona on stage as she's a pole dancer for the rich and powerful. Juana Matilde (Juanita Arias) is a somewhat naive Colombian girl, who everyone lusts after. Juana Valentina (Renata Notni) is a fashionista, Juana Bautista (Sofia Engberg) is a fortune teller at parties, and Juana Caridad (Oka Giner) is a habit wearing nun who has a secret naughty side. As these five very different Juanas and their stories begin to unfold, their lives also begin to intersect and the coincidences begin to pile up more than just sharing the same first name. None of them know the identity of their real life parents, all of them seemingly have connections to some of the most powerful people in Mexico, and more importantly, they all have the same birthmark in the same spot on their bodies, a little fish on their upper buttcheeks! Now it's up to these new found friends(?), relatives(?), clones(?) to figure out the mystery of their relationship to one another. Luckily for the audience, they stepped up the sexy in the casting of ALL Five Juanas, with Oka Giner, Sofia Engberg, Renata Notni, Juanita Arias, and Zuria Vega all making their Nude-Comer debut in the series as the titular ladies, along with a couple other sexy senoritas!
In La Venganza de las Juanas (AKA The Five Juanas), five Mexican women make a startling discovery. All five are named Juana and all five have an identical birthmark on one butt cheek! They soon discover they have a common father, a powerful politician who harassed and threatened their mothers. The five women decide to take revenge. Zuria Vega is pole dancing in the first episode, while Juanita Arias has just been arrested and shows us her tattooed ass. Oka Giner is the nude actress in the third episode. She stands in front of the mirror and shows us her tits and ass. In episode 11, Zuria Vega is in bed with her man. The woman is wearing very sexy black lingerie. Paulette Hernandez has a brief sex scene in the following episode. Zuria Vega and Sofia Engberg have two very intriguing sex scenes in episode thirteen. In the fourteenth episode, we see a sequence in which two different fuck scenes alternate, starring Paulette Hernandez and Renata Notni. Paulette Hernandez and Zuria Vega deliver a very exciting lesbian scene in the fifteenth. The sixteenth and seventeenth episodes also feature interesting sex scenes starring Renata Notni and Juanita Arias. 041b061a72
